2017 Launch100 Pitch Event

The Washington D.C. region is one of the most entrepreneurial in the nation. Advances flourish in areas more diverse than software, data, and defense. Robotics, clean energy, wearables, connected devices, and other emerging technology areas are pushing what is possible.

Red Blue Collective is planning a pitch event for physical products in partnership with Nova Labs makerspace. Proceeds are donations supporting a 501c3 all volunteer organization.

Nova Labs

Nova Labs is a membership-driven all-volunteer makerspace based in Reston, Virginia that was founded in 2011 with the purpose of empowering everyone to Rediscover the Joy of Making Things! Nova Labs empowers entrepreneurs with education and equipment to create amazing things.

Red Blue Collective helps entrepreneurs build great hardware products from concept to launch. Team members have collaboratively developed 200+ products with entrepreneurs and startups to Fortune 100 and government organizations. RBC brings a diverse background and experience in Aerospace, Robotics, Defense, and Automotive creating drones, wearables, sensors.

Marcel Beraud

Marcel Beraud, AMT’s Director of Global Services, is a manufacturing and high-tech operations executive with more than 20 years of experience in operations, supply chain and quality management. Marcel has implemented and led continuous improvement methodologies from the factory floor through the organization to create a culture of operational excellence for Tyco Electronics, Dana Holding Corp, FCI-Berg and Gate Gourmet. Marcel helps AMT member businesses, U.S.-based builders and distributors of manufacturing technology, expand into new markets abroad as well as aid in their overseas operations. Marcel is a graduate of UCLA in manufacturing engineering as well as Lean 6Sigma Certified.


Bob Smith

Bob has 30+ years of experience in innovation and entrepreneurship. As an executive, angel investor and adviser he has helped companies in e-commerce, e-government, identity management, content publishing and local media go from launch through to favorable exits. In addition to his business pursuits, Bob is the director of GWU’s Fed Tech program, which teaches Lean Startup methods to inventors and students interested in technology commercialization and entrepreneurship.


Greg Paulsen

Greg leads the Project Engineering team at Xometry, which acts as the primary interface for project management, services, and support. He is passionate about creating a multi-disciplinary team with technology, communication, and integration at its core. Greg’s background is in complex rapid prototyping projects, focusing on the various applications of industrial 3D printing. Prior to Xometry, Greg served as a Graduate Assistant at James Madison University’s Product Realization Lab and later as a Project Engineer at Prototype Productions, Inc. in Virginia.


Randy Graves

Dr. Graves has over 45 years of experience in aerospace technology research, development, applications and management. He served for twenty-six years with NASA, finishing his career as the Director of the Aerodynamics Division in the Office of Aeronautics and Space Technology at NASA Headquarters. He has been the CEO and Chairman of start-up companies and currently serves on advisory Boards and Board of Directors for several startups. He is a member of George Washington University’s National Advisory Council for the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
